About me

PortraitHello,

I’m Kay. I’ve been married to my best friend for over 40 years and together we live in the rural Kentish town of Cranbrook.

As Mother to four adult children and Grandmother to 8 little ones I’ve experienced my fair share of life with children. For over 40 years I have worked with children in a church environment, including running a large Sunday School for a number of years. This involved far more than setting the curriculum for the weekly sessions – managing teams of volunteers and handling all manner of sensitive and safeguarding issues were par for the course.

In more recent years I was a School Pastoral Worker for a children’s charity helping small groups of children whose low self-esteem resulted in problems at home and at school. I currently work with local primary schools, counselling individual children who have challenges affecting their ability to fit in and work well at school.

Since 1979 I have worked as a church Pastoral Carer, caring for members of the local congregation. This brought me into contact with people from across the social spectrum and has enhanced my ability to relate to people from all walks of life.

My rates are £35.00 per 1-hour counselling session.
Concessions are available – please ask me about these.
